Being good at anything requires concentration and consistency. Getting things done demands focus. It requires elimination and prioritization.
Seneca says, “He who is everywhere is nowhere.”
If you want to get good at whatever you’re doing, or get your important stuff done, you have to make choices about what you say yes to and what you say no to.
I don’t want to be everywhere, trying to do everything. I want to focus on things I find important, things I enjoy. I want to do less, better.
For many years now, I’ve chosen a “one-word” theme to follow for that year. Some years I do ok; other years I’m better.
For the rest of 2022, I want to go deep, not shallow. My ONE WORD theme is DEEP.
Time to take this seriously and get after it. Time to go deep.
