About

I’m Billy Schmidt, a husband, father, grandfather, Christian, and a curious man.

This blog is nothing more than what interests me at any given moment.

I write about the way things look from where I am.

I have experience in a variety of fields – the fire service, emergency medicine, education, construction, aviation, peer support, and leadership coaching.

I’m interested in people, learning, servant leadership, and contribution.

Any opinions I express here are entirely my own. I never speak for anyone else – just me.

Some of pictures attached to posts are from my own camera, usually taken on the fly. Others are from Unsplash. Typically, they reflect the subject of the post, though a few might require some imagination.

Read here why I write about chasing wisdom.

What am I doing now? See my “Now” page.

Here are The Lists of a few of my favorite things.

Ancora Imparo (Translated from the Latin as ‘Yet, I am still learning.’)

Warning: Mileage may vary. There’s no order or logical flow, I just record it. I don’t know when or how often you’ll see it!
