Some rules for resilience:
Expect the unexpected and be ready to handle it. Stuff happens – threats and opportunities. How can you prepare for the unexpected so that you’re ready to handle it, and take advantage of it, when it comes?
Choose thoughts that strengthen you. What you say to yourself directs your actions. Ask yourself this, “What am I saying to myself and what is that thought doing to move me forward or get me unstuck?” Do this: Choose thoughts that strengthen you and lose thoughts that weaken you.
Rally your troops. Don’t go it alone; ask for help. Welcome and cultivate support. Create your personal advisory group.
