I’m thinking about one painful day in my life. A day long ago when I the lost someone close, and my family looked to me to be strong and to help them carry on. It was a day we truly suffered together, and we were looking for some meaning and hope.
Today is Good Friday and a day of suffering. A day of meaning. A day where we can become different and grow. A day where we can find hope.
Everyone struggles to understand suffering. But I know that because of my Christian faith, I believe that suffering has value. And isn’t that one of the many lessons we can all learn today, on this Good Friday?
Today is a day of unique relationship between Jesus and the Father.
The Father’s mercy is fully revealed.
Have we fully comprehended that?
Today is an invitation to invite God to expand our comprehension of Him. To expand our comprehension of His mercy, His plan, and the reason and meaning of suffering in our lives.
I pray today for God to expand our comprehension of the value of suffering in our lives.
Whatever you feel hopeless about today, allow God to transform that hopelessness into to hope by way of the cross.
Today is a day of suffering, and a day of meaning and hope.
